When website errors are detected, we forward a TYPOAlert to help the business concerned.
- There needs to be a minimum of five typographical and/or grammatical errors found to trigger a TYPOAlert.
- Details of the first two errors are offered at no charge in the TYPOAlert, along with a summary of any other issues and how to see these additional details.
- Once your site is typo-free, you may like to try our popular TYPOMonitor service to help keep it that way. Regular typo checks, at the timing of your choice, will help to maintain your professional image and revenue online, as well as avoiding embarrassment.

1. Bank deposit online - the Typo Tamers account number is at the top right of your TypoAlert. Thank you.
2. PayPal - simply choose an amount from the dropdown list and click on 'Donate'. You will be taken to the secure online PayPal website. Here you have the option to either login to your PayPal account or click on the 'Pay with a Bank Account or Credit Card' button (major credit cards accepted as per image below). There is also an option to receive a receipt if required.

Why did our website have typos when we already use a spellchecker / web professional?
1. Spellcheckers - these are great for flagging up mispelled words, however they often don't pick up correctly spelled words that have been used in error eg. 'you' when meaning to type 'your', is one that we often find.
2. Website professionals - as you type the web content you often don't notice the key slips, even when checking, as your brain fills in the gaps. Fascinating and frustrating. That is why a fresh set of eyes is invaluable.
Do you make our typo information public?
Our intention is to help your business, not to cause embarrassment. The TYPOAlert is marked 'private' and mailed out to a specific person in your business. We also notify the business via the contact page of the website that a TYPOAlert is on it's way. As a courtesy we follow up with a phone call if we don't hear back within 10 days. We never broadcast company typos on social media either, so rest easy. Even our testimonials are 'initials only'.
How safe is it to pay online?
PayPal is a popular international online payments system. If you are not comfortable with this system and wish to make a payment or a donation of a different amount to the online payment options, you can make a bank deposit instead. Do you also check the grammar?
Our main focus is isolating any typos. If obvious grammatical errors are noticed when reading through the site, they will be mentioned as an added bonus.
